UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Sep. 5 — Russian troops advanced near Krasne Pershe, a village in the Kupiansk district, reported DeepState, an OSINT war monitoring group.

Russia intensified its efforts to reoccupy Kupiansk in the spring of 2025, trying to encircle the city from the west and cut off Ukraine’s logistics.

The Krasne Pershe village is about 1 kilometer (0,6 mile) from the right bank of the Oskil River and approximately 15 kilometers (9 miles) from the Russian border.

According to the DeepState map, Russian forces advanced nearly 300 meters in the Krasne Pershe area.
