UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Nov. 11 — Russian troops deliberately destroy logistics on the left bank of Oskil river in Kharkiv oblast, so any movement takes constant control, planning, and significant additional efforts, said Valerii Kyseliov, a press officer of 116th separate mechanized brigade, to Gwara Media.
“River crossings are always attacked by glide bombs, mortar and artillery fire. And with deployment of optic fiber drones, there have been (Russian) hits in Kupiansk itself, and on the roads leading to it,” said Kyseliov.
On Nov. 9, a soldier of the Aidar battalion with a call sign “Osman” wrote in his Telegram channel that Ukraine has “big issues” with logistics on the left bank of Oskil from Kupiansk to Lyman directions.
Russians have advanced on the Kupiansk axis near Stepova Novoselivka, reported war monitoring project DeepState on Nov. 8. That’s a village on the left bank of Oskil, east of Kupiansk.
Russia intensified its offensive on Kupiansk this summer. Russia aims to surround and occupy Kupiansk and seize Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi, a city to the south of Kupiansk, an important logistics and railway hub for the region.
Currently, Ukraine’s army is trying to push Russian troops out of Kupiansk.
