UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Mar. 10 — Russian soldiers are surrendering because of their low morale, said Ruslana Bohdan, the press officer of the 57th Motorized Brigade, to Army TV.

Bohdan said that Ukrainian soldiers were capturing many Russians, and they had to evacuate prisoners from their positions in different ways. He added that Russian units were constantly being replenished, including with foreigners.

“Usually, prisoners say that they were promised quiet service in the rear, but instead they were sent to the frontline,” Bohdan said.

The press officer said there are a lot of dead bodies of Russian soldiers in the Vovchansk axis, because the Russians don’t take them away.

“We saw Russians climbing over the bodies of their own people and moving on,” said Bohdan, noting that this factor has a big influence on Russians’ psychological condition and their decision to surrender.
