UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Apr. 10 — Russian elite drone unit Rubicon attacks Ukrainian positions on the Kupiansk axis trying to disrupt logistics in the Kharkiv region, reported Vladyslav Zolotarov, an officer of the Orion unit of the State Border Guard Service’s Pomsta (Revenge in English) brigade, on the national telethon.
He added that the situation on the Kupiansk axis in his unit’s area of responsibility remains difficult.
Rubicon has been operating in the Kharkiv region at least since Oct. 5, 2025. From that moment, Rubicon aimed to destroy logistics supply routes for the Ukrainian army there.
At the same time, Ukrainian forces are adapting, increasingly relying on aerial and ground robotic systems, including unmanned ground vehicles, to maintain logistics, Zolotarev said.
According to Zolotarov, Russian forces attack daily, primarily using small infantry groups. While these units attempt to advance, they are stopped in a “kill zone,” where their assaults are halted.
He added that Russian drones now pose a greater challenge than their infantry.
On Apr. 8-9, DeepState, OSINT war monitoring group recorded Russian advances near the villages of Pischane and Petropavlivka in the Kupiansk district.
