UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Jan. 16 — Russian forces attacked a security checkpoint near Kupiansk with a glide bomb, injuring two policemen working there and two Ukrainian soldiers passing by, said the National police of Ukraine.

The Luhansk regional police provided medical help for the injured and evacuated them to the hospital.

Since the beginning of January, Ukrainian troops have been clearing Kupiansk of Russians, said Viktor Trehubov, spokesman for the military group responsible for Kharkiv oblast, during the national telethon.

On Jan. 13, the 13th Khartiia brigade reported that they retook control of the Kupiansk City Council building in the city center, raising a Ukrainian flag there.
