UKRAINE, Mar. 9 — Russian forces launched more than 1,000 air attacks on Ukraine in the first week of March, targeting energy infrastructure, apartment buildings, and houses, said the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Zelenskyy said that Russians used almost 1750 kamikaze drones, 1,530 glide bombs, and 39 missiles against Ukraine during this period.
The President also said that Ukrainian forces managed to down most of the Russian targets.
“Sanctions against Russia and its accomplices must be tightened further. Everything that helps the Russian Federation finance and continue this war must be blocked,” said Zelenskyy.
On Mar. 7, Russians launched their new subsonic missile Izdelie-30 at the apartment building in Kharkiv, killing at least 11 people, including two children. The attack injured 16 people.
