UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Jan. 30 — On Jan. 30, Russian forces damaged a Philip Morris factory building, which hasn’t been working since the beginning of the Russian full-scale invasion on Fab. 24, 2022, said the press service of Philip Morris to Gwara Media.

The press service also said that there were no casualties because all staff on duty were in the shelter during the attack.

The State Emergency Service of Kharkiv oblast said that the Russian missile attack caused a fire in an area of 5,000 square meters. They involved over 80 specialists and 20 units of service equipment to put out the fire.

In 2024, Philip Morris opened a new factory in the Lviv region to relocate 250 workers from its Kharkiv oblast factory.

Over the past day, Russians attacked four settlements of the Kharkiv region, killing a 47-year-old woman and injuring a 52-year-old woman in Novoosynove village and injuring a 54-year-old man in Chorne village of the Kupiansk district, reported the governor Oleh Syniehubov.
