UKRAINE, KHARKIV, Jun 2 — In the morning of June 2, Russian forces attacked Kharkiv with drones and ballistic missiles, injuring six people, including a child, said the local Prosecutor’s Office.
The Prosecutor’s Office also noted that, supposedly, it was KN-23 type North Korean missiles or 9М723 type missiles that are part of the “Iskander” complex.
At 4:30 a.m., Russia launched three attack drones on the Kholodnohirskyi district, damaging houses, a business building, and a car. The attack injured six people, including a 7-year-old boy.
Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov said that Russians damaged a civilian business that manufactured lifting equipment. More than 20 houses were seriously damaged.
In about half an hour, Russian forces launched two missiles on the Kyivskyi district, hitting the road and the ground. The attack blew out windows in the nearest buildings. There were no casualties.
“A few meters away, a missile could hit a residential building. A few minutes later, cars and buses could have been on the road. It is a real miracle that there were no casualties,” said Terekhov.
Olha, a resident of Kyivskyi district, moved to Kharkiv from Kupiansk half a year ago. Her arm got injured in today’s Russian attack.
“Family asked us to move out immediately (from Kupiansk — ed.). We took our dogs and rented half of a house (in Kharkiv) For the first two months, everything was quiet. Now, they (Russians) are attacking every night. There are no windows or doors in our house. Dogs are crying, and we are crying with them,” said Olha.
This woman’s son is a Ukrainian soldier who works in the frontline.
“He is an officer. He defends our homeland. We hope that these bastards, these parasites will be driven out soon,” said Olha.
On June 2, Russian troops attacked Kupiansk, injuring five people and damaging at least 30 houses.
