UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Apr. 2 — In the night, Russian forces launched a Geran-2 drone on an apartment building in Chuhuiv, east of the Kharkiv oblast, reported the governor Oleh Syniehubov.
Chuhuiv is the administrative center of the Chuhuiv district. As of February 2024, more than 30,000 people lived in the city.
Syniehubov said that the attack injured two women aged 52 and 75 years old, and medics provided them with help at the impact site.
Apartments on the second through fourth floors burned down because of the Russian drone attack.
Over the past day, Russian forces attacked Kharkiv and 13 settlements in the region with three glide bombs and 35 drones of different types, said Syniehubov.
A Russian attack with an FPV drone hit a car and killed a man between Metalivka and Buhaivka villages in the Chuhuiv district, reported the Kharkiv regional police.
On Apr. 1, Russians attacked an apartment building in the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kharkiv, injuring two women aged 68 and 89 years old.
Since the early hours of Apr. 2, the Russians have continued to attack Kharkiv with jed-powered drones. According to the Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov, the Russians conducted at least eight drone attacks on the city, mostly hitting the critical infrastructure in the Kyivskyi district.
Over the past day, Russians also attacked a farm, an educational institution, and two cars in the Bohodukhic district, houses and railway infrastructure in the Izium district, a house and power networks in the Kharkiv district, and a preschool facility in the Lozova district.
