UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Oct. 6 — Over the past day, Russians attacked Kharkiv and six settlements in the region, killing two and injuring five people, said Oleh Syniehubov, governor of the Kharkiv oblast.

Russian troops launched 16 Geran-2 drones, one Lancet, five FPV drones, and one unidentified drone on the region.

On Oct. 5, at 12 p.m., a Russian drone attacked a car driving along a highway in the Kupiansk district, injuring a 37-year-old volunteer, reported the regional Prosecutor’s Office.

At 2 p.m., Russian forces launched an FPV drone on a civilian car, killing two men in Kolodiazne village, Kupiansk district.

In the evening of Oct. 5, Russian attacks injured two women, 83 and 38 years old, and two men, 67 and 63 years old, in Kharkiv.

“During the night, there were a lot of attacks on the electrical substation in Kharkiv, after which up to 22,000 customers were left without power,” said Ihor Terekhov, Kharkiv mayor, to Gwara Media, adding that, due to emergency services’ work, power was restored to 16,000 households as of 11:00 a.m.

Russian attacks destroyed or damaged 16 houses, a garage, and four cars in Kharkiv, two cars in the Kupiansk district, and a house in the Izium district.

On Oct. 3, a Russian FPV drone killed French photojournalist Antoni Lallican and injured Ukrainian photographer Heorgiy Ivanchenko.
