UKRAINE, KHARKIV, Apr. 6 — On the afternoon of Apr. 6, Russia continued drone attacks on Kharkiv, hitting the Kyivskyi district of Kharkiv and injuring at least five people, said the Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov.
At 12:44 p.m., Terekhov reported on the first Russian drone attack on the Kyivskyi district. The attack hit a public transportation stop, damaging a bus and injuring its driver.
Another Russian drone hit the last floor of an apartment building in the Kyivskyi district. Terekhov said that the attack damaged cars. Gwara Media went to the impact site of this attack.
“I was in the yard. A jet-powered drone hit the building. It was flying and whistling. Those who could hide in the basement,” said Andrii, one of the locals.
Khrystyna, another local, said that her neighbors’ apartment has some damage, while her own paintings fell off the walls. At the same time, her cat was really scared. The woman will take the pet to the veterinarian.
Vitalii was working at home when a Russian drone struck the high-rise building. He gathered his belongings and his pets and went down to the shelter.
“The animals are more or less calm. This isn’t the first time this (Russian attack — ed.) has happened to us, and they’re used to it by now,” said Vitalii.
Later, another Russian drone attacked the educational institution building. Specialists are verifying information about casualties.
Over the past day, Russian forces attacked the Shevchenkivskyi, Slobidskyi, and Kyivskyi districts of Kharkiv, injuring two people.
