UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Oct. 8 — Russian center for advanced drone technologies called Rubicon intensified their work on the Kupiansk axis, said Vitalii Milovidov, a lieutenant colonel of the 15th Operational Brigade, to Suspilne, Ukrainian media.

According to Ukraine’s military and analytics, Rubicon is one of the most effective units of the Russian army. They have operated on the Kupiansk axis for several months.

Milovidov said that Rubicon makes the work of Ukrainian forces much more difficult.

“Russians are working to (disrupt) Ukraine’s logistics. They are using remote mining and utilize manyFPV-drones, including fiber-optic drones,” said Milovidov.

He also said that there is no countermeasure against optical fiber drones. Electronic warfare systems can’t catch these drones, so Ukrainian soldiers’ only resort is pump rifles and their own vigilance.

Earlier this month, an analyst of the 13th Khartiia Brigade, call sign “Rybka,” said that Russian forces had deployed Rubicon north of Kharkiv oblast.

He said that Russian troops are also using electromagnetic warfare (EW) complexes Shtora, which can mute the Ukraine’s army signals controlling their FPV drones.
