UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, May 28 — At night on May 28, Russia launched drones at settlements in Chuhuiv and Kharkiv districts. The local State Emergency Service (SES) reported about 10 attacks on private sector and civilian businesses that killed one and injured seven people, including one child.
Russians continued their tactic of civilian attacks. That night, they used one guided aerial bomb, 14 “Geran-2” drones, and 4 FPV drones, said Oleh Syniehubov, governor of the region.
The Prosecutor’s Office said that on May 28, Russia attacked civilian business in Vasyshcheve, a settlement 20 kilometers (12 miles) from Kharkiv, with at least nine drones, starting a massive fire. The attack injured three security guards and a 4-year-old girl who lived nearby.
That night, Russia also attacked Eskhar, a settlement in the Chuhuiv district, damaging buildings in the private sector. The attack killed an 85-year-old man and injured two women and a man.
The SES recorded another strike in Bezliudivka, a settlement in Kharkiv district. This time, a fire caused a 1,000-square-kilometer empty area to burn. There were no casualties.
The Prosecutor’s Office identified that on May 28, Russian troops launched “Geran-2” drones on Kharkiv Oblast.
Russia continued its drone attacks on Kharkiv. Last week, Russian forces, for the first time since the start of the full-scale war, attacked the city with an FPV drone “based on an anti-tank grenade launcher.”
