UKRAINE, KUPIANSK, May 16 — Local government decided to stop the work of the hospital because of continuous Russian aerial attacks, said Andrii Besedin, the head of Kupiansk city military administration.

He reported that, as of May 15, 1750 residents remain in Kupiansk, and the total number of people in the surrounding community is 2700. These people are living under constant attacks. In May alone, Russians attacked the community about 1900 times with various weapons.

Andrii Kanashevych, the head of the Kupiansk district military administration, told Suspilne that this hospital was the only health facility in the city. Currently, they plan to take injured people to the nearest hospital by ambulance or stabilize and transport them afterward.

Besedin said that the local social services center will also stop its work.

“Unfortunately, the services that we provided a week ago, including a local center that worked with people with limited mobility, temporarily stopped their work because of aerial attack danger,” he said.

On May 16, Russian troops attacked a municipal building in Kupiansk with an FPV-drone, killing a woman.
