UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Aug 8 — Over the past day, Russian forces attacked Kharkiv and seven settlements in the region, injuring five people, said Oleh Syniehubov, the governor of the Kharkiv Oblast.

Russian troops have launched four unguided and five guided aerial bombs, two Iskander missiles, and 15 attack drones of different types on the region since the morning of Aug 7.

At 11:55 p.m., law enforcement recorded the Russian drone attack on the territory of a civilian business in the Saltivskyi district of Kharkiv, causing a fire across an area of 500 square meters. The attack injured a 66-year-old man and a 63-year-old woman.

In Balakliia, a city in Izium district, Russia attacked the building of a recreation camp for children with missiles, injuring a 53-year-old man and a 55-year-old woman.

In the Kupiansk district, Russians injured a 63-year-old man and damaged a house and a car.

Also, Russian attacks damaged a car in Chuhuiv district and houses, cars, a school, and electricity networks in Bohodukhiv district.

On August 6, an analytical OSINT project DeepState reported that Russian troops advanced north of Kupiansk near Holubivka.

On August 8, the General Staff reported about 10 Russian attacks on the Kupiansk axis and five attacks north of Kharkiv over the past day.
