UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Apr. 2 — As of Mar. 30, the Russian attack has damaged 34 water supply objects in the Kharkiv oblast in 2026, the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration informed Gwara Media following official inquiry.

Earlier, the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Russian forces are preparing attacks on Ukrainian water supply objects and asked all communities “to take the protection of relevant facilities seriously and with full responsibility”.

The Administration said that, in general, Russians damaged 4.7 kilometers (2.9 miles) of water supply networks over the past three months. Specialists have repaired 1.3 kilometers (0.8 miles) of those networks.

Also, the administration said they developed a plan for emergencies at water supply and wastewater companies. In the case of a blackout, backup power sources will be used at the facilities. Workers will organize alternative water supplies for consumers, such as delivering drinking water, and designating locations that would organize distribution of drinking and non-potable water.
