UKRAINE, KHARKIV, Mar. 19 — Since the beginning of Russian full-scale invasion in Ukraine in 2022, Russian attacks on Kharkiv damaged over 13,000 buildings, including 9,500 apartment buildings, said Ihor Terekhov, the Kharkiv mayor.
Terekhov said that the Kharkiv City Council repaired 3,800 buildings, which is 29% of the general amount of destroyed or damaged buildings.
In February alone, Russian forces damaged 234 buildings, blowing out 1,922 windows and smashing 57 roofs in Kharkiv, said the mayor of the city.
Also in February, Russians killed 188 and injured 757 Ukrainian civilians all over the country, reported the UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine.
