UKRAINE, KUPIANSK, Apr 18 — On the evening of April 17, Russians dropped a high-explosive detonating air bomb (ODAB-500P) on Kupiansk’s high-rise, injuring a 72-year-old woman and a police officer, reported the Prosecutor’s Office in Kharkiv Oblast.

Since early April, Russians have made almost three thousand attacks in the Kupiansk urban community, dropped 84 air bombs, killed four, and injured 19 people. Kupiansk itself was hit 160 times from different types of weapons in less than months.

The attack on April 17 destroyed three floors in a nine-story building; two people might still be trapped under the rubble.

“The rescue operation is proceeding with difficulty because we need special equipment (to search for survivors — ed.), which is hard to get to Kupiansk because of continuous Russian attacks,” said Andrii Besedin, the head of the Kupiansk military administration.

The attack damaged at least 10 of the nearest high-rise buildings in this residential neighborhood.

On the morning of April 18, the Russian army also attacked several settlements in the Kupiansk district, injuring four women.
