UKRAINE, KHARKIV REGION, Sep 11 — Russian troops attacked positions of the Ukrainian army 13 times in the Kupiansk direction since the beginning of the day, reports the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian goals on the Kupiansk axis are to push towards the administrative borders of the occupied Luhansk Oblast of Ukraine and move farther into Donetsk and Kharkiv Oblast, particularly targeting the once-occupied city of Kupiansk, an important logistics and railway hub for the region.
General Staff reports that the Ukrainian army stopped Russia’s advance near Synkivka, Hlushkivka, Lozova, and Petropavlivka on the Kupiansk axis.
The military also reports that Russia maintains an offensive north of the region, in the Kharkiv direction.
Four combat clashes happened there in the areas of Vovchansk and Hlyboke, according to the General Staff.
