UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Aug 25 — Russian troops launched air attacks against at least 42 settlements in Kharkiv Oblast, reported governor Oleh Syniehubov in his Telegram channel.
Russian attacks killed six people and injured 25, including two children, aged 8 and 2.5.
Kharkiv Oblast, located to the northeast of Ukraine and bordering Russia, is one of the major targets for Russian air attacks. Russia tries to seize the region from the north, northeast, and east, trying to advance on the Kharkiv and Kupiansk axes.
Syniehubov said that, over the last week, Russia attacked Kharkiv Oblast with a missile, seven glide bombs, 32 Geran-2 kamikaze drones (Russian double of Iranian-made Shaheds), six Lancet drones, five Molniya drones, 13 first-person view (FPV) drones, and five drones of unknown type.
Syniehubov added that, in the Kupiansk district, Russian shelling damaged a residential building and eight houses, four ambulances, a farm, and two outbuildings. In Kharkiv districts, Russian attacks damaged five houses, five outbuildings, a warehouse, two tractor machines, and a car.
Emergency services, governor reports, put out 35 fires caused by Russian shelling across Kharkiv Oblast.
