UKRAINE, BARVINKOVE COMMUNITY, Jan. 27 — Russia launched a drone attack on a passenger train in the Barvinkove community in the Kharkiv oblast, reported Oleh Syniehubov, governor of the region, adding that, because of the attack, an electric locomotive and a train car caught fire.

Oleksii Kuleba, Deputy Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine, said that the train was going by the route Barvinkove-Lviv-Chop. He reported that 291 people were on the train, and that Russian attack injured at least two passengers.

“The attack on passenger train is a direct act of Russian terror against civilians,” Kuleba said. “There were no military targets.”

He added that the authorities organized buses for evacuated passengers and for those who were waiting for the train back at the stations.
