UKRAINE, NOVOSELIVKA, Oct. 3 — Over the night of Oct. 3, Russian troops launched 10 drones on a farm in the Nova Vodolaha community, injuring a 41-year-old man and killing 13,000 pigs, said Ukraine’s Emergency Service and Kharkiv regional police

Gwara journalists were not allowed to access the impact site.

For the six months of 2025, Russians attacked at least 15 farms and agroplants in Kharkiv oblast, said Oleh Syniehubov, governor of the Kharkiv oblast.

The Russian strike caused a large-scale fire. Eight buildings where pigs were kept caught fire, covering an area of 13,600 square meters.

Russian aggression in Ukraine has already caused damages amounting to $589 billion, said Danylo Hetmantsev, an MP from the “People’s Servant” party, referring to the UN and the World Bank Group’s statistics.

Hetmatsev noted some key points regarding developing frontline cities’ economies. One was creating a support program that would provide insurance against military risks. Under this program, he said, every business and citizen who wants to insure their property against such risks would be able to apply to a credit agency.
