UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Nov. 28 — Russian forces killed a 27-year-old Jirka Kotrla, a Czech Republic citizen, who served near Izium in Kharkiv oblast, reported iRozhlas та Idnes.
Kotrla is the fifth Czech Republic citizen who was killed during the full-scale Russia-Ukraine war.
Kotrla was a graduate of the school of applied arts in Uherské Hradiště and studied stone carving.
Ivo Savara, the director of the school, said that Kotrla attended school until the third year, then left. His mother contacted the teacher to inform them about his death.
Mariana Wernerová, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, said that they were aware of Kotrla’s death. She also said that the man was considered missing.
The Ministry refused to comment on the details and noted that they contacted Kotrla’s mother.
