UKRAINE, KHARKIV, Nov. 20 — Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Russia killed 106 children in Kharkiv oblast, said Oleh Syniehubov, governor of the region.

“Unfortunately, we have to add another name to this tragic list. On the night of Nov. 18, the Russian army killed a 17-year-old Karyna Bakhur in a missile attack on Berestyn (Kharkiv region —ed.). She was a kickboxing and cossack duel champion in Ukraine and Europe,” said Syniehubov.

He added that the youngest killed child was two months, the oldest 17.

On Nov. 20, on World Children’s Day, in Central Kharkiv near the memorial dedicated to fallen children during the Russian invasion, authorities put up a granite monument of toy blocks with the names of those whom Russia killed.
