UKRAINE, Jan. 5 — Ukrainian military from the Darknode unit of the 412th unmanned brigade Nemesis intercepted a Russian Shahed drone with a man-portable anti-aircraft missile system, said the Unmanned Systems Forces.

Currently, Ukrainian experts are studying tactics for using this equipped drone.

The intercepted drone is also equipped with a radio modem and a camera. This allows Russians to control the drone from Russian territory and launch missiles remotely.

Serhii “Flash” Beskrestnov, an electronic warfare specialist, said that Ukrainian forces faced this modified drone for the first time on Jan. 4.
