UKRAINE, Dec. 16 — Russian troops equipped Geran-2 kamikaze drones with Soviet P-60 missiles, reported Ukrainian intelligence (HUR).
HUR added that Russia did it to targetUkrainian helicopters and jets used for air defense — those that “hunt” drones. The missile is attached to the launcher sitting on top of the drone, in its front part.
The new modification of Geran-2 drone is also equipped with two network cameras in a nose cone behind the missile launcher, HUR said. Video transmission and control commands are carried out via the Chinese mesh modem Xingkay Tech XK-F358.
The Ukrainian intelligence agency added that the countries of origin of the electronic components used in the weapon remain standard for Russian drones of this type: the United States, China, Switzerland, Taiwan, Japan, Germany, and the United Kingdom.
