UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Oct. 23 — Over the past day, Russian forces attacked Kharkiv and six settlements in the oblast with two glide bombs and 11 attack drones of different types, reported the governor Oleh Syniehubov.

On Oct. 22, Russians attacked the private kindergarten in the historic neighbourhood of Kharkiv, killing a man and injuring ten people, including a child.

The governor also reported that a 66-year-old man was injured as a result of an explosion of an unknown device in a field in the Kharkiv district.

Russian forces also attacked Zelenyi Hai, a village in the Kupiansk district, killing a fire and rescue unit commander of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and injuring five of his colleagues.

In Kharkiv, Russian attacks destroyed or damaged the building of a kindergarten, 11 cars, a residential building, and three other buildings in Kharkiv.

They also damaged a residential building and a house in the Izium district, two administrative buildings, a car, and a combine harvester in the Kupiansk district, and a house in the Chuhuiv district.

In the Kharkiv district, the attacks damaged power networks.

On Oct. 23, Russians also attacked the critical infrastructure of Lozova, leaving over 25,000 customers without power, said Serhii Zelenskyi, the head of the community.
