UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Aug 6 — Over the past day, Russia attacked Kharkiv and five settlements in the Kharkiv region, said Oleh Syniehubov, the governor of the Kharkiv Oblast.

Russian troops have launched 56 unguided, six guided aerial bombs, and eight attack drones of different types on the region since the morning of Aug 5.

Two Molniya drones hit the Kyivskyi district of Kharkiv, injuring a 20-year-old woman and damaging a gas station and residential building.

In the morning of August 5, Russians dropped a guided aerial bomb on a residential building in Kupiansk.

Rescuers are still clearing the ruins of the building, said Andrii Kanashevych, the head of the military administration of Kupiansk district, to Suspilne. Three people may be trapped there, but the threat of Russian attacks and drone activity complicates the work of emergency services.

Syniehubov also reported that Russian attacks damaged buildings in the Kharkiv, Kupiansk, Izium, Chuhuiv, and Bohodukhiv districts of the region.

On August 5, Kanashevych told Gwara Media that Russian troops continue to attack around Kupiansk. Russian sabotage reconnaissance groups (SRG) have been spotted in the nearest settlements, but they weren’t in Kupiansk itself as of Aug 5.
