UKRAINE, KHARKIV, May 13 — On May 13, the Russian “Molniya” attack drones hit the central part of the city, said Ihor Terekhov, the mayor of Kharkiv.
At 4:02 p.m., the first drone attacked the Kholodnohirskyi district without any victims for now, Terekhov said.
Locals heard the second explosion at 5:17 p.m. in the same district. The mayor said that no casualties have been reported from this impact site, too.
It is the first attack on Kharkiv after the end of a supposed three-day ceasefire announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“Our (Ukraine and the partners — ed.) proposal for a halt to the strikes, for a ceasefire of at least 30 days, still stands – we are not withdrawing this proposal, as it offers a real chance for diplomacy,” said Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Ukrainian President when the Russian so-called truce started, referring to the suggestion he made multiple times this spring.
On May 12, the Nordic and Baltic Countries (NB8) published a joint statement to call for a full, unconditional, immediate ceasefire for 30 days, with the possibility of renewal.
On May 13, the Russian army attacked Nechvolodivka village of the Kindrashivka community with guided aerial bombs, killing one man.
