UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Sep. 2 — On Sep. 2, Russian forces advanced near Kamianka, a village in the Kupiansk district, reported DeepState, an OSINT war monitoring group.

Earlier, DeepState said that in August, the pace of the Russian offensive dropped by 18%. They noted that Russians occupied 0.4% of territories on the Kupiansk axis with 5% of all assault activities conducted there.

The Institute for the Study of War (ISW) also wrote about Russian advances on the Kupiansk axis, referring to Ukrainian military observer Kostiantyn Mashovets.

ISW reported on the Russian advance near Myrne, a village northwest of Kupiansk. On Aug. 30, the Ukrainian army pushed away Russian troops from the village.

The 15th Operational Assignment Kara Dag Brigade said that “infantry doctrine” of Russian forces on the Kupiansk axes has changed.

“Russia uses anti-thermal coats so they can assault Ukrainian positions all day long. Their main aim is to get to the gray zone for further accumulation,” said the brigade.

The Center of Strategic Communication of the Ukrainian Armed Forces said that the “price” of the Russian operation during this year’s spring-summer campaign is 124 dead soldiers for each km² of occupied territory.
