UKRAINE, KUPIANSK DISTRICT, Feb. 27 — Overnight Russian drone attack on Pidserednie village in the Kupiandk district killed a woman and a man and injured a woman, reported Kharkiv State Emergency Services.
Pidserednie is a village about 24 km (~15 miles) to the frontline in the Velykyi Burluk direction, located between Vovchansk and Kupiansk axis, where Russians established a large “kill zone” for their drones.
Rescuers pulled the bodies of the killed from under the rubble of their destroyed house. A fire in the aftermath of the attack spread across an area of 200 m² (2,150 ft²).
Emergency workers from a medical unit provided all the necessary help to the injured woman.
During the of Feb. 26, several hours before meeting of US and Ukraine delegations for peace talks in Geneva, Russia used 18 drones of the Shahed type and two ballistic missiles to attack Kharkiv. Read Gwara’s report from two of the twelve impact sites of this attack.
