KHARKIV REGION, UKRAINE, JAN 17 — Over the past day, Russians shelled over 22 settlements in Kharkiv Oblast from mortars and artillery.
The head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, reported on the attacks.

According to Syniehubov, the Russian army also hit Vovchansk of the Chuhuiv district with airstrikes and dropped a FAB bomb on the town [FAB-500 is a 500-kg air-dropped bomb with a high explosive warhead, designed in the Soviet Union — ed.].
Russians shelled Kutkivka of the Kupiansk district as well.
Apart from these, Udy of the Bohoduhiv district, Vovchansk, Ohrimivka, Zemlianky of the Chuhuiv district, Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Ivanivka, and Berestove of the Kupiansk district also came under Russian shelling.
