The Security Service of Ukraine has notified a new suspicion against Sharii, who helped the Russian Federal Security Service to produce fake videos of interrogations of Ukrainian captives. Further evidence of pro-Kremlin blogger Anatoliy Sharii’s propaganda and subversive activities, which he carried out on behalf of Russian special services, has been uncovered.
He advised the Russian FSB on how to film the interrogation and properly ask prisoners of war questions. After filming, he edited the videos, deleting unfavourable moments for the Russian Federation.
According to the investigation, he was involved in covert cooperation by a career officer of the 5th FSB Service, M. Kosenko, and the blogger was helped to communicate with Russian special services by an accomplice in the temporarily occupied Sevastopol.
This person turned out to be the former head of the Main Department of the National Police in Vinnytsia region, Anton Shevtsov, who was also suspected of treason in early 2023.
It was from this person that Sharii received videos of the interrogations of two captured AFU soldiers. After “editing” the files, they were “approved” by a representative of the Russian special service.
The Security Service of Ukraine notes that pro-Russian propagndist admits in conversations with his accomplice that, despite the editing, it was impossible to hide the prisoners’ poor condition. And relatives of Ukrainian defenders who responded to the videos posted on social media asked not to film or torture their relatives.
Based on the evidence collected, the investigators were notified of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 28 and Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (high treason committed under martial law by a group of persons by prior conspiracy).
