On March 22, Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited Kharkiv. The president held a coordination meeting on the current security situation. Moreover, he saw and awarded wounded service members in Kharkiv hospital.
The President of Ukraine presented Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov with an honorary award of the Hero City and a ribbon, denoting the exceptional bravery of Kharkiv citizens.
“The city lives, fights, Kharkiv strengthens the whole eastern part of our country. I thank everyone who has stayed in Kharkiv, who works, provides others with work, maintains security, and protects the border! Thank you to everyone — on positions, at posts, at critical infrastructure facilities, utility workers, local authorities, businesses, educators,” Zelenskyy said in his evening speech.
Moreover, during the working visit, Zelenskyy visited the hospital where wounded defenders are recovering. He awarded the service members and the Medical Service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine representatives for their courage and military service to Ukraine.
British, Swedish, and Canadian ambassadors also visited Kharkiv on March 22.
