UKRAINE, Sep. 23 — 62% of Ukrainians believe Ukraine’s victory in the war against Russia is their main value in life, shows the poll conducted by Rating Group, a sociological company.
In the second place are one’s family and close ones (52%), and in third place — one’s own health (34%)
Their research shows that, among other priorities of people in Ukraine are: independence of the state (26%), restoration of Ukraine (20%), securing Ukrainian language, culture, and identity (18%).
The next on the list are the united Ukrainian nation (14%), self-realization and self-growth (12%), personal freedom (11%), and material well-being (9%) .
Data also shows differences between the age groups.
The youth (ages 18-35) prioritized the importance of their family’s and their own health, whereas older respondents (55+) emphasized the importance of winning the war and rebuilding the country.
Apart from researching respondent values, the Rating Group evaluated the level of civic activity among them.
The most widespread are donations to the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) — 70% of people in the country donate constantly or from time to time.
Also, 49% of respondents help refugees, internally displaced people and people with disabilities, and 44% provide the military with non-financial help, such as repairing their cars, weaving masking nets, etc.
At the same time, very few people — only 20% take part in civil hearings, petitioning authorities, or solving the issues oftheir communities. The most common form of civil participation was protests and demonstrations — 75% of respondents participated in them.
