UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Dec. 16 — A special unit of police “White angels” evacuated a family with four children, including a two-month-old baby, the assistant to the head of Kharkiv police, Viacheslav Markov, told Gwara Media.
The family was transported to an evacuation center in Kharkiv. According to Markov, law enforcement will soon evacuate the family’s pets from the village because the evacuation vehicle didn’t have enough space for them.
The mandatory evacuation is ongoing in the Velykyi Burluk community, with Russians moving closer to the village moving from across the Kharkiv region’s eastern border with Belgorod oblast.
Since the beginning of October, Ukrainian war monitoring group DeepState has recorded Russian advances east of the Velykyi Burluk near Ambarne and Odradne villages.
On Dec. 1, DeepState reported about Russian advances near the Dvorichanske settlement, which is located 25 kilometers (16 miles) from Velykyi Burluk.
