UKRAINE, KUPIANSK, Aug 13 — Russian troops are trying to enter Kupiansk, the largest city east of Kharkiv Oblast, by small assault groups, said the operation-strategic military grouping “Dnipro.”

Earlier, evacuated residents of Kupiansk told Gwara Media that they saw Russian sabotage groups in the city. Our journalists spoke with the Kupiansk authorities and four servicemen working in the city about the situation there.

Over the past day, Ukrainian forces repelled Russian attacks near the Kolodiazne, Novovasylivka, Holubivka, and Myrne villages on the Kupiansk axis.

At 11:00 a.m. on August 13, Russian troops attacked the Kivsharivka settlement in the Kupiansk district, injuring a man, said the Prosecutor’s Office of Kharkiv region.

Later, the law enforcement reported that the man died in an ambulance on the way to the hospital.

Also, Russians launched the FPV drone at the police car in Kupinask, injuring police officers, said Serhii Bolvinov, the head of investigations in the Kharkiv regional police.

The investigative team drove to the location where the man’s body was found, and a Russian FPV drone began to follow them. The driver started to maneuver the car, and the drone hit the back of the car. The investigator, expert, criminalist, and driver suffered concussions.

“The drone was watching and waiting right in the middle of the road,” Bolvinov said.

Oleh Siniehubov, the governor of the Kharkiv region, said during the national telethon that Russian FPV drones attack rescuers, police, and medics.

Bolvinov also noted that Russian troops are remotely mining crossroads, patrolling roads with drones, and leaving FPV drones on building roofs, terrorizing civilians and openly hunting down State Emergency Service and police crews.
