UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Apr 7 — “At the beginning of April, Russians tried to cross the Oskil river and accumulate their forces on its western side,” said Victor Trehubov, speaker for the Khortytsia operational-strategic group of forces.

Two days before, Ukrainian soldiers stopped the Russian advance near Kindrashivka, and today, Russian troops attacked once near Zahryzove.

Moscow has been actively trying to capture Kupiansk since the beginning of the full-scale invasion—several highways and railways pass through the city, making it an important logistics hub for the region. Ukrainian soldiers are working to stop the Russian offensive on the Kupiansk axis every day.

“The Ukrainian army effectively stopped all efforts to pass the crossing. But the enemy accumulated resources on the western side of Oskil. At first, they used small watercraft. Second, they gathered forces in February, when the ice was still on the river. That’s why we are currently trying to knock them out of there,” said Trehubov.

Victor Trehubov also noted that all Russian army’s attempts to concentrate resources were unsuccessful.
