UKRAINE, KHARKIV, Apr 7 — Russia shelled Kharkiv 41 times from March 31 till April 6.
“Last week’s number of Russian attacks is comparable to the entire month of March,” Kharkiv mayor Ihor Terekhov said.
In March, Kharkiv situational center that coordinates communications between emergency services and municipal departments recorded 42 Russian air attacks and 172 air raid alerts.
Russian strikes injured 51 people, including seven children, during the first week of April. Five people, including one child, were killed, the mayor reports.
Moscow launched 17 Shahed kamikaze drones and a Molniya attack drone on Kharkiv during that week. Local authorities also recorded 23 cases when debris from downed drones has fallen onto the city.

At night on April 3, Russia attacked Kharkiv’s Novobavarskyi district with six drones, killing five people and injuring 34.
Russian troops frequently strike Kharkiv—a city in the northeast of Ukraine with a population of 1.2 million—from beyond the state border and the temporarily occupied territories. Its critical and civilian infrastructure has been severely damaged since the start of Moscow’s all-out war.
