UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Nov. 26 — Currently, there are 21 children in the Borova community, and local authorities will consider a decision on mandatory evacuation if they are not evacuated in a few days, said Oleksandr Tertyshnyi, the head of the Borova community, to Suspilne Ukraine.

Borova is a settlement in eastern Kharkiv oblast, located on the left bank of the Oskil river, 8 kilometres from the frontline. Russians constantly launch airstrikes at the settlement and villages around it.

Now, according to Tertyshnyi, Russians intensified their attacks on villages on the right bank of the Oskil river, in Pidvysoke and Horokhovatka startosta’s districts.

Tertyshnyi noted that the safety situation had become worse in Podvysoke’s starosta district in the Borova community, which is 17 kilometers from the front line.

“We have been monitoring this process for the past few weeks, with drones flying over the right bank of our community more often. We also recorded artillery shelling and attacks of Russian glide bombs,” said the Tertyshnyi.

According to Tertyshnyi, three children have already left Podvysoke as of now.

On Nov. 24, local authorities held a commission to discuss the evacuation of the Borova community.

The commission recommended that residents of Pidvysoke, Kalynove, Myrne, Parnuvate, Yasynuvate, and Gavrylivka settlements, especially families with children, relocate to safer areas.

As of the beginning of November, 2,069 people were staying on the left bank of the Oskil river, said the Kharkiv Military Administration in a response to Gwara Media’s official inquiry.
