UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Jan. 14 — During the Kupiansk operation, 429th Unmanned Systems Regiment “Achilles” carried out 689 flights, delivering 9 tons of humanitarian supplies to nearby units, said the press service of the regiment.

“Achilles” said that over the past year, the kill zone for drone attacks has increased significantly, turning the line of contact into a “drone duel.”

The regiment said that delivering humanitarian supplies to positions using unmanned aerial vehicles is the only way to provide Ukrainian military personnel with food, medicine, and equipment.

The Kupiansk operation began in September 2025, but the information about it became public on Dec. 12.

During this time, Ukrainian forces liberated Kindrashivka and Radkivka villages and the nearest settlements, reached the Oskil river north of Kupiansk, and blocked Russian logistics routes. This allowed the Ukrainian military to unblock units on the eastern bank of the river.

Earlier, the 13th Khartiia brigade retook control of the Kupiansk City Council building, in the centre of the city.
