UKRAINE, KUPIANSK DISTRICT, Nov. 27 — Over the past days, special unit Bilyi Yangol (“White angel” from Ukrainian) with the help of volunteers evacuated several families from the Kupiansk district, reported the Kharkiv regional police.
Bilyi Yangol rescued a woman whose house was damaged by a Russian glide bomb. Russians destroyed almost the whole village where this woman lived — houses, infrastructure, and shops.
The rescuers evacuated a Tanzanian citizen who was a teacher at one of the schools in the Kupiansk district.
Over the past day, Bilyi Yangol evacuated nine children from the Velykyi Burluk community.
They also rescued a couple from the Kupiansk district, whose house was destroyed by the attack of a Russian glide bomb.
Kupiansk district, containing eight communities, was the only district in Kharkiv oblast that was completely occupied by Russia in 2022. Currently, according to information from officials, 48 out of 269 settlements are temporarily occupied by Russia.
