UKRAINE, KHARKIV, Jun 11 — From 12:31 to 12:40 a.m., Russia launched 17 Shahed drones to Slobidskyi and Osnovianskyi districts in the south of the Kharkiv, reported Ihor Terekhov, the mayor.

Russia continues to attack Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second-largest city that’s located about 19 miles from the Russian border. Four days earlier, Moscow launched one of the “largest attacks” on the city.

On June 11, Russia killed a 65-year-old man and a 47-year-old woman on the spot. In the morning, another 65-year-old man died in hospital, said the local police.

Russian drones injured 64 people, including nine children. Three children aged 2, 13 and 15 are still remain hospitalized.

In Slobidskyi district, a drone hit a five-story building, causing a fire from the 3rd to the top floor in more than 15 apartments.

The attack also damaged a trolleybus depot in this district, said Oleh Syniehubov, the governor of the region.

In Osnovianskyi district Moscow attacked several houses, setting a fire.

Russia launched Geran-2 drones for their attack, said Spartak Borysenko, one of the senior experts from the Kharkiv regional Prosecutor’s Office.

“Russians damaged trolleybuses, the power lines, utilities, and industrial facilities. All these are ordinary objects of peaceful life. The ones that should never be targeted,” said Terekhov.

“I called my son today and said: “Take revenge.” He is at war, and I asked him to take revenge for his house, his yard, and my work,” said Olena, a local whose house was hit.

Olha, another local, hid in her hallway with her child, terrified.

“We went outside at 1:00 a.m. and stood in the yard until the morning, waiting for the firefighters to put out the fire. The woman from the neighboring entrance died. Thank God, we survived this night.”

With the help of locals, units of all utility services are working on the impact site to clean up the damage caused by the Russian attack.
