UKRAINE, KHARKIV REGION, Nov 26 — During the past day, the Russian army attacked Kharkiv Oblast with 19 glide bombs and 11 drones, seven of which were downed by Ukraine’s air defense forces, said Oleh Syniehubov, Kharkiv Oblast governor, on Ukrainian state telethon.
Syniehubov said the targets for the Russian attacks over this day were civilian and critical infrastructure.
Russian troops attack Kharkiv and Kharkiv Oblast often because of the proximity to the state border and the frontline, targeting civilian and critical infrastructure. Kharkiv is located 19 miles away from the border with Russia.
On the morning of November 25, Russia hit Kharkiv’s center with an S-400 missile, injuring 23 people. The attack also caused a power outage in some districts of the city.
Throughout a full-scale invasion, the Russian military killed 2,750 civilians, including 95 children, in Kharkiv Oblast.
