UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, May 6 — The Russian troops attacked Ukrainian forces more than 10 times on Kharkiv and Kupiansk axes, reported the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The Institute for the Study of War, in the daily report, reiterated that Russia still considers Kharkiv Oblast one of their main directions and tries to push Ukrainian forces away from the Belgorod Oblast and approach within tube artillery range of Kharkiv.

On the Kharkiv axis, the Russian troops tried to assault Ukrainian forces four times but did not advance.

The ISW reports that Russian forces recently advanced in central Vovchansk and attacked near the city and near the village, Tykhe, located on its outskirts.

Over the past day, Russian forces tried to advance in the Kupyansk direction. Ukrainian forces repelled five assaults near Zahryzove, Novoosynove, and Hlushkivka villages. Russian forces continued offensive operations near the Borova settlement but did not advance, according to the ISW.

Russia injured 11 civilians in Kharkiv Oblast from May 5 to May 6, including four Kharkiv residents injured during overnight Shahed drone attack.
