UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Sep 1 — Over the past day, Russians attacked 20 times in Kharkiv Oblast, reported the General Staff.
On Sep 1, the General Staff reported about 10 Russian attacks on Ukrainian forces operating north of Kharkiv near Vovchansk, Hlyboke, Fyholivka, Zapadne, and Krasne Pershe.
On the Kupiansk axis, Russian troops attacked 10 times near Synkivka, Stepova Novoselivka, Novoplatonivka, and Petropavlivka.
On Aug 30, the Ukrainian army pushed away Russian troops near Myrne, a village northwest of Kupiansk, reported ISW, referring to Viktor Trehubov, Ukrainian Dnipro group of forces spokesperson.
The Institute for the Study of War (ISW) pointed out in its daily assessment that the Kremlin is pursuing a multi-pronged informational effort aimed at deterring Western support for Ukraine and undermining European participation in the peace process.
“The Kremlin has recently been intensifying three rhetorical lines aimed at influencing Western decision-making in the Kremlin’s favor: accusing European states of prolonging the war in Ukraine, levying nuclear threats against Western states, and claiming that Russian victory in Ukraine is inevitable,” analysts said.
ISW also noted that Yurii Fedorenko, commander of the “Achilles” regiment, reported about Russian attempts to enter Kupiansk by moving through sewer lines into the settlement.
Fedorenko said that Russians also continue to set up crossings through the Oskil river, using cables.
On August 28, ISW reported that the geolocated footage indicated the advances of Russian forces east of Kozacha Lopan, along the E-105 Kharkiv-Belgorod highway.
Russian forces attacked 11 settlements in Kharkiv Oblast with five attack drones of different types, killing one and injuring three civilians.
