UKRAINE, BOROVA, Oct. 13 — The administration of Borova’s hromada is planning to relocate emergency medical personnel from the left bank of the Oskil river because of safety concerns, said Olena Klymenko, deputy head of the community, to Gwara Media.

Borova is a settlement in eastern Kharkiv oblast, located on the left bank of the Oskil river, 8 kilometres from the frontline. Russians constantly launch airstrikes at the settlement and villages around it.

On Oct. 11, Russians attacked an ambulance with an FPV drone — and, before that, they hit two ambulances on Oct. 7 and 8.

Klymenko said that emergency services’ management must make the final decision on the relocation, as they are not subordinate to the local administration.

Klymenko said that the administration continues to evacuate civilians from the Borova community. As of mid-October, nearly 300 people are still there.

The deputy also said that the left bank of the community, including Borova, is still without electricity because of constant Russian attacks. Repair brigades do not have access to damaged power infrastructure.

On Sep. 16, all municipal enterprises in the community stopped operations. Currently, the Borova community on the left bank of Oskil lacks access to water, gas, and garbage collection services.
