UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Jan. 12 — Workers of the Kharkiv regional State Emergency Service came under two Russian double-tap attacks while dealing with damage caused by the Russian strikes on the Kharkiv region, reported the Kharkiv regional State Emergency Service.

Over the past day, Russian forces attacked Kharkiv and 14 settlements in the region, killing three and injuring 16 people.

Kharkiv rescuers worked in places where Russian drones hit in Zolochiv, Malynivka, and Velykyi Burluk communities — and at the impact site in Kharkiv.

During firefighting operations, Russians launched two repeated attacks. One of the attacks damaged the fire truck. No rescuers were injured, said the Emergency Service.

On Mar. 10, rescuers were clearing up the damage from the first Russian strike in the Kholodnohirskyi district of Kharkiv when, half an hour later, Russian forces launched a second one nearby. Emergency service workers were not injured, said Bohdan Hladkykh, head of the Kharkiv City Council’s Emergency Situations Department, on Ukrainian TV.
